Phoenix cup 2023 was held at Manohar Parrikar Indoor Stadium

Phoenix cup 2023 was held at Manohar Parrikar Indoor Stadium from 3rd to 5th of May 2023 It was the 4th edition of the Magnum Opus event wherein a tournament spanning all categories of Handball was conducted under one roof viz;

  1. General category Girls and Boys in the age groups of Under-13,Under-16 and Under-19
  2. Special Children Boys and Girls in both higher and lower abilities
  3. Wheelchair Handball in “4 a-side” format.

A total of over 375 participants across 35 teams spanning all formats participated in the tournament.

In the General Category, teams represented were from:

  1. Morsinghi Handball Academy, Himachal Pradesh
  2. Rajasthan Handball
  3. Uttar Pradesh Handball
  4. Rural Handball Club - Begusarai.
  5. J.B. Vachha school, Mumbai
  6. Raja Shivaji school, Mumbai
  7. I.E.S, Mumbai
  8. Hooper’s Handball club, Mumbai
  9. Daniella S.C and Angel's S.C from Goa

In the Special Children category, the following teams participated

  1. Mumbai Suburban
  2. NASEOH
  3. MDCH
  4. Hope Foundation
  5. Vipla Foundation
  6. Goa

In Wheelchair Handball the teams that participated are:

  1. Mumbai
  2. Pune and
  3. Maharashtra

I would like to thanks to Pheonix Sports and team for giving me chance to participate in Pheonix Cup as a Referee in this Championship with such a great facilities especially Indoor Stadium, in this Championship have a big standard just like a International Championship to held this kind of top class events.
